Precision Agriculture

In Liguria the mechanization of harvesting is impossible, but this does not mean that it cannot be innovated in other ways, for example by reducing waste.

In an age where resources are scarce and nature deserves a lot of attention, here comes ELAISIAN from Roi. An innovative start-up founded in 2016 with the aim of promoting knowledge transfer and innovation in the olive sector through the development of precision agriculture aimed at protecting olive trees.

Thanks to this innovation, we have earned the certification for "Precision Agriculture" and we are very proud of this.

High-tech solutions available to olive companies to analyze and prevent risks in the entire production cycle of olive tree processing, guarantee the monitoring and study of data and information, so as to be able to plan corrective interventions or improvements.

Therefore, thanks to a system of algorithms, based on a database of agronomic studies, ELAISIAN is able to prevent diseases and optimize cultivation processes, from irrigation to fertilization.

In simpler words, Elaisian gives us a program and an antenna. The antenna must be positioned in the relevant campaign and the program allows us to read its data.

The satellite sends us 3 maps, one for water concentration, one for nourishment and one for tree stress.

By combining the 3 maps, we always know where and how to act, to waste nothing.

Giovanni and Damiano fellow students, brilliant and with the desire to help a sector that has made history in Italy, but which is increasingly underestimated.

Giovanni e Damiano tell ELAISIAN

from the blog ELAISIAN

"Certainly, precision agriculture is now a reality that cannot be turned the other way. It is a duty, for the whole agricultural world, to confront what time progress and technological innovation bring about. layout.

And it is unthinkable to be able to cope with new changes while remaining indifferent, especially if these changes affect the production and earnings of the farm.

In a context such as the current one, therefore, agriculture, and especially olive growing, deserve to be able to obtain the right quality and income results and this is only possible with the knowledge of data and information that no one, if not the precision farming, can give us. "
